In-BeTween Class (4-week class)

Just like adolescent humans, dogs aged between 6 to 24 months are going through hormonal and physiological changes that can lead to shifts in behaviour. During this developmental phase, your dog may start testing boundaries, showing bursts of energy at unexpected times, and struggling to manage their emotions.

Although your dog’s critical socialisation period has passed, it’s not too late to introduce them to new experiences. It may take a little longer to create positive associations, but it’s entirely possible—think of it like learning a new skill later in life. While it can take more time, the results are well worth the effort. In this course, we’ll help you manage any emerging or ongoing behavioural challenges and teach your dog more suitable and positive alternatives.

Who is the In-BeTween Class for?

This class is ideal for dogs who:

  • Are aged between 6 to 24 months
  • Are fully vaccinated
  • Are ready to progress in their training journey

What We Cover in the In-BeTween Class:

At the In-BeTween Class, we focus on what matters most to you and your dog. During the course, we will:

  • Review and introduce new cues (previously known as commands) and behaviours
  • Learn how to manage unwanted behaviours
  • Understand the difference between “normal” behaviour and signs of stress or fear
  • Provide creative enrichment ideas to meet your dog’s needs during this stage
  • Explore practical ways to continue socialisation in a safe and positive manner

If your dog is in that “in-between” stage and you’re looking for the next steps in training, this is the class for you!

I attended the adolescent dog classes with my duracell bunny border collie and genuinely couldn't recommend Paul enough. It's lovely to see someone that has all the knowledge behind his words and you can tell he's done his research! You can also tell he genuinely loves dogs and cares about helping you with yours. It was our first class with Paul but definitely won't be the last! :)

What an amazing 6 week course. Mabel has learnt so much, as have I, her owner. Paul is an excellent trainer, he truly understands dogs and their behaviour. A real mix of dogs were in the class, bulldog, cockerpoo and Mabel who is a Welsh terrier. What an amazing experience. I would totally recommend Paul's classes to anyone.
